Local Rules

 

 

 

 

U.S.G.A. RULES APPLY ALONG WITH THE FOLLOWING LOCAL RULES:

 

 

All Courses:

 

  • You may drop away from the following within one club length, nearest point of relief, no closer to the hole:
    • Paved cart paths
    • Active ant beds
    • French drains
    • Ground under repair
    • Ruts made by carts and equipment
    • Yardage markers
    • Sprinkler Head near Putting Green:  You are allowed to take free relief from immovable obstructions on your line of play when the obstruction is within two club lengths of the putting green, and also within two club lengths of your ball. 

 

  • Out-of-Bounds: Defined by white stakes, private fences, paved roads, rock walls, property fences and cedar fences bordering the courses.  Any ball crossing a paved road defined as Out-of-Bounds and comes to rest beyond that road is Out-of-Bounds, even though it may lie on another part of the course.

 

  • Lost Ball or Out of Bounds:  Rule E-5 Alternative to Stroke and Distance for Lost Ball or Ball Out of Bounds has been adopted for general play.

 

 

Signature/Flintrock Falls:

 

  • Embedded Rocks/Tree Roots:  Any shot coming to rest within the closely mown area on or near embedded rocks or Tree Roots that could cause you or your club damage may be moved to your nearest point of relief no closer to the hole.

 

Signature:

 

  • Crossroads:  Any ball coming to rest within the "Crossroads" area must take relief (free relief, no penalty) nearest point of relieve, no nearer the hole

 

  •  Hole #16:  Any shot coming to rest to the left of the cart path on hole #17, while playing hole #16 is out of bounds.

 

Flintrock Falls:

 

  • Gravel Area:  Any ball coming to rest in a gravel area is allowed to take free relief. You must take full relief from the area plus one club length no closer to the hole.

 

Yaupon/Live Oak:

 

  • Embedded RocksIf a player’s ball lies on or near rocks, either loose or embedded, that could incur damage to himself or the club, the player may take relief without penalty and drop the ball at the nearest point of relief.
     
  • Tree RootsIf a player’s ball lies on a portion of, or within two club lengths of, the general area cut to fairway height or less and on or near tree roots, that could incur damage to himself or the club, the tree roots are treated as ground under repair. The player may take relief without penalty and drop the ball at the nearest point of relief.

 

  • Highline Wire:  A ball striking a highline wire or its support, inside the perimeter of the course, must be replayed without penalty.

 

  • Live Oak Restroom:  The restroom located between #4 tee and #8 fairway on the Live Oak Course is an immovable obstruction. Swing and stance relief only, 16.1.
